Our theme for this Sunday, April 15 is Courageous Cowards.  Jesus meets the disciples after his death and resurrection where there is confusion, resistance, and faith.  How do we deal with that similar state of life in our own lives as a community of faith?

Next Sunday is Earth Day, April 22 and like last year, everyone is invited to meet at our bldg at 1:00 pm to walk the neighborhood and pick up litter.  This is not simply about litter though.  Its a way for us to observe the immediate neigbhorhood around our bldg and to pray for these folks.

A memorial service for Fran Boltz a long time member of Fairlawn West will be next Saturday, April 21 in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m.  We are having a reception in the parlor after the service.  If you are able to provide some refreshments for the reception and/or help service it, contact deloar@yahoo. com

The Core@4 pm starts back up this Sunday with discussion on the book God's Politics by Jim Wallis.  Copies are available in the Workroom behind the main office.

The Taize service resumes tonight at 6:00 pm in the parlor.  It is a 40 minute service of song, prayer and meditation.
